A story about an old old tree, with a hole in his trunk.

He searched far and wide for something to fill it with.

Snowflakes,
Rain in Spring,
Children's Laughter, tears of joy.
Newborn babies too.

He swallowed them.

Yet.

He could not fill this hole in his heart, and in the end, after he had swallowed up the entire world, he was alone.

In short, the premise of the beautiful Anime Kaiba.

Watch it. It's one of the best this decade. It's really hard to get though, since it's a heart-wrenchingly underrated Anime.
